All about our appointments (appointment lengths/ what to bring/ how far in advance to book)

Appointment lengths: Appointment times are standard at 1.5hours, however, if there are no appointments after you, you can stay as long as you like!

What to bring: We suggest to bring nude coloured underwear, preferably suck in types, especially if trying on fitted dresses. You won't need a bra since dresses all come with cups on the inside plus other support. Heels are optional.

How far off until my wedding should I book an appointment? Dresses can take anywhere from 3 months to 6 months to come in, plus alterations from 2-3 months. So try book an appointment 9 to 12 months before your wedding.

Do I need to book an appointment/ can I walk-in?

No, you don't need to book an appointment to see our dresses, walk-ins are accepted on Fridays and Saturdays. If you are wanting an appointment we do highly recommend booking so you do not overlap with another pre-booked client.

Question 3

How many people can I bring to my appointment?

We recommend 3-4 people, however, you are welcome to bring as many as you like, including children of all ages :)

Do you have plus-size dresses in store?

Accepted Answer

We sure do! We are plus sized specialists and have gowns up to a size 24 in store. We also have designers that make to order up to a size 40.

My wedding is soon and I don't have a dress!

Accepted Answer

Don't panic yet! We offer ex-sample dresses, and off the rack dresses that you can take home the same day, if in a similar size. All designers offer rush orders for those who need a quick turn around, which can be only 2 - 4 months, depending on designer. We will do our very best to ensure your dress arrives on time.

Is your store Disability/ Anxiety and LGBTQI+ friendly?

At Barossa Bridal it is our aim to make everyone who walks through our door comfortable.

Access: Our carpark and store is fully wheelchair/ frame accessible and our change rooms are oversized, with bench seat and grab rails.

Anxiety friendly: We only serve one client at a time, meaning there are no other customers trying on dresses at the same time. The only other customers coming into the store will be walk-ins and they are separated by a wall divider. Having staff that understand and have felt the the pressures of anxiety, helps to offer a safe environment. We allow as many breaks as you need, because trying on dresses can be overwhelming and we will never pressure you. We will go at your pace.

LGBTQI+ Friendly: Because every person deserves the same experience and should not be singled out. If you go by different pro-nouns, please let us know so we can give you the best/ most comfortable service possible.

Private Changing: We offer private changing to every client, meaning we will set up your dress on the floor, then step out, so all you have to do is step into the dress, pull it up, then our consultant will come in to help you zip up the back and make adjustments to fit.

Is your store child friendly?

Yes! Absolutely bring as many kids as you like into our store. Breast feeding is more than welcome and we will allow time for you to feed your bub during your appointment :)
Our building also has a parent room to ease those nappy changes.

Question 8

Do you have coloured dresses in store?

Accepted Answer

Yes we do! We have colours, ivory. light champagne, blush, pink, tea rose, earth brown and black in store. We also have dresses that are in white but can be made in different colours ❤️🖤💜💙💚

What are your price ranges?

Accepted Answer

Our dresses price range from $500 up to $3500, with the majority being at the $2000 mark or under. All our dresses on our website have the prices listed for your convenience.

All about our alterations

Accepted Answer

We do not offer in house alterations, rather we outsource to a seamstress in Gawler. Dressmaking Boutique by Kasia Litwinienko has over 35 years of bridal alterations experience and is by far our seamstress of choice. She also alters formal dresses, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses.
